Proforma Names Meg Erber Director of Sales
Erber, a U.S. Navy veteran, has been a force in the promo industry as a high-performing sales pro, podcaster and volunteer.
Meg Erber is taking her two decades of promo sales experience to Proforma (asi/300094).
The well-known promotional products industry pro, podcaster, educator and volunteer has been named director of sales for the Top 40 distributorship.
“We are thrilled to welcome Megan to the Proforma Family,” said CEO Vera Muzzillo, a member of Counselor’s Power 50 list of promo’s most influential people. “Her extensive experience in the print and promotional products industry, coupled with her proven leadership skills, will undoubtedly make her a valuable asset to our team.”
Erber said Proforma's vision and values align with her own – a key reason she was eager to become part of the company and help power its success.
“I am beyond excited to be joining a family-run company where I’ll have the opportunity to spread my wings and be a leader, mentor and coach,” Erber told ASI Media. “I feel like in this role I can have a positive ripple effect throughout the industry.”
Erber was most recently an outside sales account manager with Top 40 supplier S&S Activewear (asi/84358), where she spent eight years.
Other past roles include regional sales director with former supplier Jetline, a company acquired by then Top 40 supplier Prime Line, which is now part of Top 40 firm alphabroder (asi/34063). Erber was also previously vice president of sales with Pop! Promos (asi/45657). She began her merch market career as an executive account manager with distributor Gimmees.com.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Erber’s resume only tells part of the story of her time and impact in promo. She’s been an active volunteer, something exemplified by her role as co-chair of the Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York's (SAAGNY) Promotions East trade show.
Erber has also gained greater prominence in promo by co-hosting industry-focused podcasts, including the just-launched Branding Banter. Keen to help advance ethical practices in the market, she has been a volunteer with PromoCares, a group that aims to inspire, educate and provide actionable strategies that encourage social and environmental responsibility in the branded merch space.
Beyond Erber, Proforma has been adding talent of late, including Charity Gibson as chief marketing officer and Michael Dobozy as chief technology officer.
“This series of hires underscores the company's dedication to assembling a top-tier team, fostering innovation and defining the standards of excellence within the industry,” Proforma said.
Based on reported 2022 North American promotional product revenue of $620 million, Proforma ranked fifth on Counselor’s most recent list of the largest distributors in the industry.
